Hello & welcome, I'm Luke Wheldon and my goal is to help you train your dog. I work closely with the Blackwater Valley Veterinary Centres, together we have a lifetime of expertise and professional advice at hand.
"Luke is very knowledgable! He is also calm and focused. Listens to the problems you have with your dog and what you want to achieve. I would strongly reccomend him!" Djordje (George) Vuckovic BVSc MRCVS – Veterinary Surgeon & Practice Principal
Training sessions with Luke have been both enjoyable and extremely effective. I would highly recommend Luke as he definitely understands dog behaviour. Walking my dog is now a pleasure, thank you Luke.
The very best decision I made was to ask Luke to help me train my two borzoi puppies they are a joy to take out now he was so patient with me as well as the girls and we’ve all learnt so much from him can’t recommend Luke enough Thank you Luke x
Luke was fantastic. Can't rate him highly enough. He has helped us out with 2 bitches that were fighting. We were in a really awkward situation with them and thought we would possibly have to rehome one. Luke really was our last hope and we cannot thank him enough. He is kind and patient and his methods are simple but very effective. He has a great understanding of dogs and they definitely like him. Thank you Luke for restoring peace to our house.
We consider ourselves so lucky to have come across Luke. He is an incredibly professional, kind, and considerate man who's love and care of animals undeniably shines through everything he does. I can only say wonderful things about him as a carer and a person. He is truly one of a kind. I highly recommend Luke.
Luke has been walking and working with our dog for over a year now. To say they didn't get on initially would be understatement; but Luke worked patiently over a number of months and now Pickle loves going for his walks.
Luke has been excellent in helping us train Bailey, since we got him as a puppy, he has given us lots of useful tips which have really worked on how to train him into a well behaved dog that we can take places with us, his knowledge on dogs has been so useful and made us understand the best way of training Bailey. I have no hesitation in recommending his services.
I could not recommend Luke enough. We have a nervous lurcher, Derek, a rescue from Battersea, who had not lived in a house, frightened to leave the house and reactive to other dogs. Luke has been patient with us as we have tried to support Derek. We returned to Battersea recently and they were pleasingly surprised at Derek's confidence and reduced reactivity. This is due to what we have learnt from Luke. Thank you for what you have done Luke!
Buddy, my rescue lurcher, is a huge fan of Luke's. Until recently it was not possible to let Buddy off the lead. Luke has worked on recall and socialisation which has dramatically altered Buddy's enjoyment when out for a walk and now he can run freely in a safe location. I trust Luke completely with my dog and recommend his services. He completely understands dogs, including those that are a little more complex. A rescue dog can have a few problems and Luke has been inspirational in helping my dog have a very happy life and really benefit from being a much loved family pet.
When I started using his services Scooby could only be walked on the lead as she was extremely reactive towards other dogs... She now goes on a group walk with at least four other dogs three times a week. Luke has been patient and understanding with both Scooby and myself, teaching me lots of techniques when other dogs approach. I have found his advice and guidance invaluable... Luke has made great progress with her, and I can go to work safe in the knowledge that she is receiving the exercise and coaching she needs. I thoroughly recommend his services as he has changed Scooby's life - not to mention mine!
Our two Portuguese Water Dogs Franko (8 years old) and Clem (2 years old) suddenly began attacking each other quite viciously having lived happily with each other since Clem's arrival 2 years ago. They had to be kept separate from each other and couldn't be walked or travel in the car together. After 12 face to face sessions with Luke both on walks and in our home, having followed his written procedures and rules with his bespoke retraining programme, everything is back to normal. We can't thank Luke enough for giving us back our life with our wonderful dogs.He is an astonishingly kind, caring and knowledgeable dog behavourist.
Brewster and I were fortunate to have Gordon House veterinary surgery for our primary vet and when I went back to work I needed someone to take care of Brew. Luke Dog Walker was the best service I have ever used. He is passionate about animals, people, the environment and ensuring your pet gets the best attention possible. If you live in his area of coverage I highly recommend trying his pet care. You will thank me for it (if you knew me). Brew and I moved out of the area and I know Brewster misses him greatly. Luke has a constant smile and a very positive approach to everything.

These can focus on loose lead walking, recall, jumping up, emergency stops, and heelwork. In fact you name it I’ll work on it, then at your convenience run through what has been learnt.
